Apatoff | Peters Leads Negotiations With Nation’s Largest Health Insurer
 
Rockville, MD.  AXIOM Systems, Inc., a Germantown, MD-based information technology product and services company, announced today that it has licensed its TransSend™ software solution to HealthLink, Inc., of St. Louis, Missouri, a subsidiary of WellPoint Health Networks, Inc. (NYSE: WLP), the nation’s largest health care insurance carrier.    TransSend allows HealthLink to enable direct connections between its 25,000 physicians and more than 300 hospitals and healthcare facilities and the 200 national and regional insurance carriers that utilize HealthLink’s provider network for the transmission and repricing of healthcare claims, leveraging existing health care EDI infrastructure to integrate all HIPAA 27x transactions between providers and payors from the provider’s desktop practice management system.
