Cangen Biotechnologies Expands Research Collaboration With Olympus Corporation

Rockville, MD. Cangen Biotechnologies, Inc., a Bethesda, Maryland-based biotechnology company, announced on Friday, January 6th the expansion of its existing collaborative research agreement with Olympus Corporation of Tokyo, Japan to accelerate the commercialization of Cangen’s technology for the early detection of lung cancer. The expanded collaboration includes funding from Olympus for a prospective clinical trial. Cangen has commenced patient recruitment and will manage the trial from its Asia Clinical Trial Center in Seoul, Korea.

Apatoff | Peters advised Cangen in its negotiation of the original collaborative research agreement with Olympus, as well as the agreement expanding the collaboration and funding the clinical study.
